The following homes will take part in this year's event:
The David and Karen Henrikson home is a 1920s Sears Roebuck style country home renovated a few years ago with a beautiful wrap around porch and 30x30 great room just perfect for their large family and generous entertaining. Enter into their lovely music room, followed by her Rose room Tea Parlor set up for a lavish Victorian Christmas Tea. Refreshments of her homemade scones will be served in the great room where you can enjoy the creative family traditions she Karen has designed.
The Larry and Kathy Anderson home will feature a newly constructed Four Season Room. The many windows allow the beauty of nature to be enjoyed. The decorations will showcase outdoor elements along with The WCBC Carolers. The Carolers invite you to join them as you walk through!
Rodger and Barbara Schwind retired from CA to their quaint Walnut home in 2002 to be a part of their grandchildren's lives. Rodger brought along his life long hobby of train collecting, and after downsizing, he designed a train room with all the lights and sounds that has delighted his grandkids and friends over the years. Barbara invested in into their lives with heritage and classic toys and storybooks to make learning come alive. Come see these displays in Grandma and Grandpas "magical" children's Christmas basement.
The Dean and Amanda Hulsing home is a 1970s house that has been newly remodeled. It has been decorated this year with a taste of our German heritage, and a table is set for a cozy Christmas dinner to welcome our family and friends.
James and Tracey Schoff's was built in 2009 with the theme "I'll be Home for Christmas". The Schoff's designed their country home so that their children could always come home for Christmas. They've created a homey feel where everyone is always welcome. As you walk through imagine the many large joyous Christmas gatherings this home has hosted with much laughter and reminiscing. And when the weather is right kids of all ages can be found sledding the big hill in their back yard, or ice skating in their rink.
